This is a pretty cool site: gnooks.

Type in three authors you like, and it'll spit out a bunch of other authors you'll probably like.

I put in Robin Hobb, Minette Walters and Jane Austen, and I got back George R.R. Martin, who I also totally adore.

Yeah, go ahead and criticize my three. But I figured that combo would stump the software. I mean, what's in common between a fantasy author (Hobb), a crime novelist (Walters) and a mannered literary icon (Austen)?

I put in Terry Pratchett, Earlene Fowler (quilt mysteries), and Kaffe Fassett (knitwear/quilt designer).  It spat out Lora Roberts and the book it showed me is "The Professional Caterer's Handbook:  How to Open and Operate a Financially Successful Catering Business".  I don't get it...
