Yeah, so there's another slight change of plan .... I'm moving to Vancouver.

Ok, here's the deal - we decided we were moving back.  Then, about 4 weeks ago, Angela got notice of a job offer in Calgary (as most of you know) - she almost immediately had the job (within about 3 or 4 days).

I, on the other hand, was sendin' out resumes like a banshee - well, a slow banshee anyway. I got an interview on Wednesday through the ex-BF of Angela's sister - an odd circumstance but we all liked him and woulda traded Angela's sister for him in a heartbeat ;-)  The upshot is, I got the job and am starting Sept. 19 (three weeks) ... as such, I'll be back prolly the Sunday before (the 18th).  I need to find a house to rent now ... any ideas?

Sounds like all the stars are aligning for you.  House rentals I'm not sure where to start, but where are you going to be working and whereabouts would you like to live?  There is a Vancouver Craigslist, and the Vancouver Sun and Province are online (www.canada.com I think).  Is this just for you until Ange and the F1 move over the Rockies, or do you want to get the place settled from day one?

... I know this couple in Burnaby who want to move to North delta, they have a recently renovated Townhouse that's close to transit and schools...

When I was a little kid, I used to fall asleep to the sound of mah jong tiles going late into the night as my parents and their friends gamed while hauling the kids along and letting them drop where they landed.

I guess our kids are going to fall asleep to the sound of "chicken on YOUR head!"

That's great news, Don!

As far as finding a place to live ... where's your job, and what neighbourhood do you want to live in?

And may I suggest North Delta as a home-buying destination? We're here already, and Rob & Liz will likely end up here. The houses are large enough to raise kids, the prices aren't as bad as they are over the river, and it's an easy skytrain commute to downtown Vancouver.
