Oh yeah, I'm back in Canada

Over the weekend, Angela and I were determined to live the Canadian stereotype.  Soooo .... we went to a WHL game.

Yeah, it's kinda lame but it was fun.  Talk about a city devoted to hockey!!  I mean, I know that the stubble provinces are prolly even more hockey crazy but there were a frickin' lot of people there. Plus we got to go to the Saddledome and sit in the 'Executive' section - woohoo.

It was quite fun, all in all. I don't know if I'd pay the regular prices but going w/ free tickets was great.  Guess Angela and I are rapidly shedding what remains of our California-ness.  All I need now is a parka and my conversion to the dark side will be complete ....

You'll need a pair of -40C boots as well.  I only visit Calgary occasionally and I still broke down last Christmas and bought myself a pair of Sorels.

So I found the best cafe, The Canadian Cafe! in Monrovia. Now when I need a fix...I can get Tim Horton's coffee and butter tarts...and of all things (not that I'd eat it :-)) they have Swiss Chalet chicken with the special sauce. :-)
